Joel Schneyer
Independent Director
Joel’s international career spans over 30 years as an investment banker, financial analyst, metals trader and geologist. He is a former Managing Director in the Minerals Capital & Advisory Practice at Capstone Partners (Capstone Headwaters), Manager of Derivative Finance in the Metals Group of Barclays Bank, and a Senior Analyst in the New Business and Strategic Planning Group at Billiton Royal Dutch Shell. Before commencing on his banking career, he worked as an oil and gas exploration geologist with Celeron Oil & Gas (Goodyear) and IP Petroleum (International Paper), and as a field geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey. In addition to his current association with Mega-Drain, he is:
1. Senior Advisor in Minerals & Mining at Capstone Partners, a leading middle-market investment bank;
2. Board Member and Audit Committee Chairman of Themac Resources Group (TSX.V), developing an open-pit copper mine in New Mexico; and,
3. Advisor to the Board of GMV Minerals Inc. (TSX.V), advancing an open-pit heap leach gold project in Arizona.
He earned a B.A. in Geology with High Honors from Colgate University, a M.A. in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin, and a M.S. in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines. He holds the ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors and a FINRA Series 79 investment banking license.
